DOJ’s Continued Arrests of January 6th Defendants
Rick criticizes the Department of Justice for continuing to arrest and charge January 6th defendants even after Trump’s election. This is a politically motivated action and we hope that Trump will pardon these individuals once he’s in office. Please pray for J6ers and for Trump to pardon them.

Day 7: Future Glory!
By Rick Rene of Blessed2Teach Ministries (https://blessed2teach.com)
Prayer Guide Day #7
God will work all things together for my good because I love him and am called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28: And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Father, I declare that I love you and am called according to your purpose. Therefore, even when things don’t seem like they are going my way, I will declare the truth that God works all things together for my good. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Context
This amazing truth about all things working for our good in Romans 8:28 is surrounded by an even greater truth about our Future Glory from verse 18 through verse 30. Paul starts out talking about the present sufferings, but we are to recognize that they are not even worth comparing to our future glory. In fact, all of creation is waiting in anticipation of this coming glory. Creation itself is in bondage to man’s corruption on the earth, but God has given creation hope to be set free. Paul describes creation as “groaning together in pains of childbirth.” And we ourselves “groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons.” Paul discussed this truth earlier in Romans 8:
Romans 8:15: For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
This gives us hope for the redemption of our bodies. A hope that cannot be seen, but a hope that we wait for with patience.
Paul then turns to how the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness and will even intercede for us with groanings that cannot be stated in words. The spirit searches our hearts and intercedes for us “according to the will of God.” And God works for the good of everyone who loves him and how have been called according to his purpose.
Paul ends this section of scripture letting us know that God fornew that we would be “conformed to the image of the son” and that he called us before we were born as discussed in 1 Corinthians:
1 Corinthians 2:7: But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.
Yes, God not only predestined us, but he called us, justified us and will glory us!

Devotional
Not only do we learn that God works all things for our good in this passage of scripture, but also that he calls us to glory. This is why Paul starts by giving us hope despite any current sufferings:
- For I consider that the sufferings of this present time
- are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
We learn that even creation itself is in a state of suffering like childbirth:
- For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.
- For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope
- that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
- For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.
And we also groan as we await this glory with hope:
- And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,
- groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
- For in this hope we were saved.
- Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?
- But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
And the Holy Spirit is what helps us have this patience when we are weak and this Spirit even intercedes for us!
- Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
- For we do not know what to pray for as we ought,
- but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
- And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit,
- because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
How awesome is that. Even when we don’t know what to pray for, we have the Holy Spirit to pray for us. And he is with us forever as Jesus tells us:
John 14:16: ”And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever,”
This is why we can have confidence that God is working all things for us:
- And we know that for those who love God
- all things work together for good,
- for those who are called according to his purpose.
And what is even more amazing is that if we are called according to his purpose, God called us even before we were born!
- For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son
- in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
What an awesome God who chose us to be washed clean from our sins:
1 Corinthians 6:11: And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
And it does not stop there. God predestined us, called us, justified us, and will glorify us:
- And those whom he predestined he also called,
- and those whom he called, he also justified,
- and those whom he justified, he also glorified.
So, let’s rejoice in our God and in our future glory!
Father, I know that my current sufferings cannot even be compared to my future glory with you. Despite my groanings, you gave me the Holy Spirit to intercede for me in prayer. I understand that you work all things for my good because I love you and have been called according to your purposes. Purposes, you predestined me before I was even born! In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
