Qatar Investment Strategy and Educational Influence
Discussion of Qatar’s $6.3 billion investment in U.S. education institutions, with Rick analyzing the potential shift from educational influence to economic partnerships under Trump’s approach.
This is risky to partner with someone investing to make our college students useful idiots (using Saul Alinsky’s term in Rules for Radicals).
Can Trump make an enemy an ally? He definitely knows the real enemy is the Banking Cartels, Big Pharma, and the Military Industrial Complex. Can he flip Qatar?
Trump’s Diplomatic Strategy in the Middle East
Rick explained Trump’s dual approach of military action against threats (Houthis) while offering economic partnerships to cooperative nations.
The carrot and the stick approach are both being used!

Day 2: Steadfast Truth in a Troubled World
By Rick Rene of Blessed2Teach Ministries (https://blessed2teach.com)
Prayer Guide Day #2
God’s word will be my guide, forever!
Psalm 119:89: Forever, O Lord, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.
Lord, The hope that I have is confirmed by your word that I can trust. Your word will never disappear and I will use it forever for my instruction and guidance. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Context
The context of this powerful verse about God’s word being “firmly fixed in the heavens” consists of seven verses from Psalm 119:89-96 and can be summarized as “Steadfast Truth in a Troubled World.” This passage celebrates the eternal and life-giving nature of God’s word. It portrays God’s truth as unchanging, sustaining us through affliction and opposition. We can find delight, strength, and purpose in God’s instructions (or precepts), which surpass human limitations and provide a foundation for life.
The Eternal Stability of God’s Word: The psalmist declares that God’s Word is unchanging and eternal, rooted in the heavens.
- God’s Word is “firmly fixed” in the heavens, showing its permanence.
Jesus confirms this in book of Matthew:
Matthew 24:35: Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
- His faithfulness lasts across all generations, never fading.
- The earth and creation stand firm because God established them.
- All things in creation serve God’s purposes, reflecting His authority.
We can celebrate the unchanging nature of God’s Word. In a world of shifting values, we can find freedom by anchoring our lives to God’s eternal Word, confidently living out its principles in our decisions and actions.
God’s Word as a Source of Life: The psalmist credits God’s law with sustaining him through personal struggles.
- Delighting in God’s law kept the psalmist from despair during affliction.
Earlier in this psalm, we see how God’s word gives us life:
Psalm 119:25: My soul clings to the dust; give me life according to your word!
- God’s precepts are unforgettable because they bring life and hope.
- The psalmist belongs to God and seeks His precepts, asking for salvation.
This shows how God’s Word provides life and strength, even in the darkest times. By delighting in God’s Word, through regular study and prayer, we can find hope and resilience, living freely in the life God provides, unburdened by fear or despair.
Trusting God’s Boundless Commandments: Despite threats from the wicked, the psalmist remains focused on God’s perfect commandments.
- The wicked plot to destroy the psalmist, but he meditates on God’s testimonies.
- Human perfection has limits, but God’s commandments are “exceedingly broad,” without flaw.
This is why we should use his word to guide us:
Psalm 119:105: Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path.
- God’s Word offers a broader, more perfect guide than anything human.
This contrasts the limitless perfection of God’s Word with the dangers and flaws of the world and calls us to prioritize God’s Word over worldly pressures or threats. By focusing on Scripture, we can live boldly in the freedom of God’s perfect truth, resisting evil and standing firm in their faith. His word is our “Steadfast Truth in a Troubled World.”

Devotional
Psalm 119 is a favorite for many and this section offers us more evidence that God’s word is reliable and can be trusted. The psalmist start out by letting us know God’s word will stand forever:
- Forever, O Lord, your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.
Peter confirms this as well in 1 Peter:
1 Peter 1:25: ”but the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you.
Peter was quoting from the book of Isaiah:
Isaiah 40:8: The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
God’s word will stand forever and all things serve him:
- Your faithfulness endures to all generations;
- you have established the earth, and it stands fast.
- By your appointment, they stand this day,
- for all things are your servants.
It’s God’s word that gives us eternal life and allows us to live the abundant life here on earth:
- If your law had not been my delight,
- I would have perished in my affliction.
Taking delight in the Lord has a promise:
Psalm 37:4I: Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Therefore, we should depend on God’s word and his instructions:
- I will never forget your precepts,
- for by them you have given me life.
- I am yours; save me,
- for I have sought your precepts.
Even though we have life through his word, we will still have enemies:
- The wicked lie in wait to destroy me,
- but I consider your testimonies.
God promises us protection and we can trust him:
Psalm 91:2: I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
Jesus confirms that we can even have peace when we have trouble:
John 16:33: I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
- I have seen a limit to all perfection,
- but your commandment is exceedingly broad.
Human limits are not limitations for God and his word. We can trust this word for absolutely everything in our lives in all circumstances. His word is “Steadfast Truth in a Troubled World.”
Lord, You have confirmed that your word is forever fixed in Heaven and will remain forever. I trust your word and will use it as my guide, my instructions and I will delight in your word. I will stay hungry for your word and work daily to get your word into my heart. Thank you for being my fortress and for giving me the desires of my heart as I seek your face with your word! In the name of Jesus. Amen.
