He played clips of Senator John Kennedy challenging Mayer’s claim of unbiased reporting by listing examples of what he considered biased stories.
Kennedy cited NPR reports claiming country music and birds are racist, promoting anti-beef messaging, pushing the Russia gate conspiracy, downplaying Biden’s poor debate performance, denying biological men’s advantages in women’s sports, and calling American interstate highways racist.
Rick characterized this as “opinion journalism” that shouldn’t be funded by taxpayers.
Record Numbers of Illegal Aliens Self-Deporting
Rick shared information about illegal immigrants self-deporting in record numbers.
He played clips of Stephen Miller announcing that approximately one million self-deportations have already occurred.
Miller explained that illegal immigrants face a choice: staying means risking arrest, deportation, wage garnishment, property loss, and imprisonment, while leaving allows them to return home, potentially apply for legal entry later, and receive a $1,000 check.
Miller emphasized how this policy shift would benefit American citizens by reducing emergency room wait times, decreasing traffic congestion, lowering health insurance premiums, reducing classroom sizes, and eliminating competition for public benefits.
Trump Administration Sues to Remove NPR and PBS Board Members
Rick discussed the Trump administration’s lawsuit against board members of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), NPR, and PBS who refused to leave their positions despite being removed.
The Justice Department filed a legal complaint seeking a court order to formally remove these individuals who continued to operate in their offices despite their termination.
Rick explained that this litigation reflects the department’s commitment to protecting the president’s constitutional powers under Article II, which include the authority to make personnel decisions.
He characterized this as part of the battle against the “SES thing” that sought to strip power from the president.
Plans to Reopen Alcatraz as Detention Center
Rick reported on plans to reopen Alcatraz as a detention center for illegal immigrants who commit crimes, which Nancy Pelosi reportedly called “Trump’s stupidest initiative yet.”
Rick argued this policy would serve as a deterrent to illegal immigration, explaining that immigrants would know they face detention and deportation if caught at the border, and potentially imprisonment at Alcatraz if they commit crimes after entering illegally.
He estimated the project would cost about $60 million but suggested it would “pay for itself” by deterring illegal immigration.
Genius Act for Cryptocurrency Regulation Passes Congress
Rick celebrated the passage of the “Genius Act,” which he described as “America’s first federal crypto law.”
The legislation establishes a national innovation framework for US stablecoins and prevents the implementation of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs).
Rick explained that blockchain technology could eliminate the need for banks as middlemen, which is why financial institutions are pushing for CBDCs that would allow them to maintain control.
He noted that the bill passed with bipartisan support (308-122 in the House and 68-30 in the Senate) after Trump personally intervened to convince Republican holdouts.
Rick characterized this as a victory against what he called “the beast plan” of financial surveillance and control.
Trump’s AI Strategy for American Dominance
Rick played a clip outlining Trump’s strategy for winning the AI race against global competitors.
The strategy has three main components: 1) Innovation – enabling the private sector by removing regulatory barriers; 2) AI Infrastructure – investing in power generation and grid improvements to support power-hungry AI data centers; 3) AI Exports – making American technology the global standard by creating the largest ecosystem of developers and applications.
Rick connected this AI strategy to the cryptocurrency initiatives, noting that both are technology-oriented areas where America needs to win to prevent China from dominating.
Lowering Prescription Drug Prices

Criticism of Federal Reserve and Jerome Powell
Rick criticized Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell for maintaining high interest rates despite improving economic indicators.
He suggested Powell might be considering resignation due to scrutiny over a $3 billion building project.
Rick shared a meme depicting Trump on a “bull rocket” heading “to the moon” despite Powell’s attempts to hold back the economy with high interest rates.
He predicted that within the next 12 months, there could be a shift from the Federal Reserve system to Treasury control.
Voice of America Employee Arrested for Threatening MTG
Rick reported on the arrest and indictment of Seth Jason, a Voice of America employee, for threatening to assault and murder Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene and her family.
According to the indictment, Jason made threatening phone calls from Voice of America studios over a 15-month period.
Rick noted that the calls stopped on January 21, 2025, the day after President Trump’s inauguration, suggesting that the previous administration had not properly prosecuted such crimes.
Spiritual Awakening at Indiana University
Rick concluded the show by sharing a video of students at an Indiana university responding to an altar call, which he described as evidence of a spiritual awakening.
The video showed what Rick estimated to be 50-75% of the crowd coming to the altar.
He interpreted this as a sign that an awakening is happening not just politically but spiritually, with people recognizing “who Jesus really is as the lion of Judah.”
