Golden harvest field at sunrise — Rick Rene prophetic word prepare for the harvest July 2026

“It’s Time to Prepare for the What If Since the What If Is Going to Happen” — What I Heard in My Alone Time with God

A golden harvest field under breaking light with the prophetic call to prepare for what God is about to do.

On July 8, 2026, I sat down in my Alone Time with God and asked the Lord what He wanted to say — and what He spoke was one of the most urgent preparation calls I have ever heard Him give. If you want to understand what I believe He is asking of His people right now, this word is the place to start. Learn more about my ministry and why I share these words.

In this prophetic word received on July 8, 2026, the Lord speaks about a coming harvest, the accelerating reveal of evil, and the urgent need for His people to prepare. He calls the Church to expand, reform, and move from simply celebrating conversions to truly making disciples.

My Prayer — July 8, 2026

Wed, Jul 8, 2026 7:56pm — It’s time to prepare for the what if since the what if is going to happen

Lord, thank you for Nathan French and his story. Thank you for the miracles we are seeing. Put me in a secret place where I can only hear from you. No spirit, but the Holy Spirit, the Father and the Son. I submit my mind, my eyes and my ears to you. [Private words for Rick….]

Yes, Lord. How are you tonight?

What the Lord Said — July 8, 2026

I am well, and I am moving on the hearts of people who do not know me, and I need my body to stand up and get ready for this harvest. The evil and tyranny that has reared its head up these last few years are awakening many people to the true spiritual war that is at hand. This reveal of the evil will accelerate greatly in these coming months, so prepare to help others come to know me. Each of you has a path, and I am preparing all of you to expand and not shrink, to move forward and not backward. So sit with me and ask me what I am preparing for you. I will go before you, and if you have a renewed mind in my word and are listening to my voice, you will see a clear path to where I want you to be. So do not lean on your own understanding, as some of you will be confused, and this is why I ask you to walk by faith and not by sight and to trust me with all your heart.

Nothing will be perfect, and the road I put you on may seem hard, but this road leads to life and a life to the full. Again, I have a race specifically marked out for you and I want you to run it with perseverance and thanksgiving. We have little time to prepare for the onslaught of people I will be sending my church. The current corrupt structure of many churches and ministries needs to be reformed and prepared for expansion. So again I say, come to me for specific directions as a great harvest is near. Throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, as it is time to help my new people into our kingdom. Help them not just come to know me as their savior, but help disciple them. I did not say baptize them, rejoice and move on; I asked you to make disciples. So prepare your infrastructure, prepare your minds to receive my favor and new and exciting people to join you. Do not be stingy, do not think small. I need each of you to think about what if. What if God gives me favor, what if God expands my tents, what if God sends me hurting people. It’s time to prepare for the what if since the what if is going to happen.

(end of word)

What This Means to Me

This word is a clear call to readiness. The Lord is not asking us to shrink back or stay comfortable. He is asking us to prepare our hearts, our infrastructure, and our capacity to receive and disciple the people He is about to send. The harvest is near. The what if is coming. Now is the time to get ready.

I want to be honest with you — hearing a word like this puts a weight on me. A good weight, the kind that makes you want to pray more and plan less casually. I hope it does the same for you. Come discuss it with me and the rest of the community.

Questions About This Prophetic Word

Why does this word emphasize preparing for the harvest rather than just praying for it?

The Lord’s language throughout this word is entirely action-oriented — prepare, expand, reform, think about what if. He acknowledges that He is already doing His part: He is moving on hearts, awakening people through the exposure of evil, and preparing to send them to His Church. The gap He is addressing is on our side: most churches and believers are not structurally or spiritually ready to receive what He is sending. Praying for the harvest without preparing for it is, in His framing, a form of unbelief — treating His promises as unlikely rather than imminent.

What does it mean practically to renew your mind in Scripture for this season?

Based on what I heard on July 8, renewing your mind — grounded in Romans 12:2 — means getting your understanding of reality aligned with what God says is true rather than what you observe in circumstances. In this harvest season specifically, it means replacing scarcity thinking with expansion thinking, replacing fear of failure with faith in His specific direction, and replacing the assumption that big revival happens to other people with the active expectation that He intends to send it to you. The renewed mind is what makes the clear path visible.

What is the Great Commission call to make disciples of all nations, and how does it apply today?

The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19 is the instruction Jesus gave His followers to make disciples of all nations — not just to evangelize, but to teach, walk alongside, and form believers in His ways. What struck me in this July 8 word is how directly the Lord pushed back on the way many churches have reduced that to a conversion-and-celebrate model. He said plainly: I did not say baptize them, rejoice and move on. The commission is ongoing, relational, and intentional — and it becomes absolutely critical when a large harvest of new, hurting people arrives at once.

How does walking by faith and not by sight apply when the road looks hard or uncertain?

The Lord’s word on July 8 directly addressed this — He acknowledged that the road He places us on may seem hard. He is not promising smooth circumstances. What He is promising is that the road, however difficult it looks from the outside, leads to life and a life to the full. Walking by faith per 2 Corinthians 5:7 means moving forward on what He has said rather than waiting for circumstances to confirm it first. I find that hardest when the step looks foolish to others — and that is exactly when it tends to be most important.

What does throwing off every weight and sin mean in relation to the coming harvest?

When the Lord referenced Hebrews 12:1 — throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles — He placed it in the context of being ready to help new people into the kingdom. That framing changed how I heard it. This is not merely a personal holiness issue; it is a capacity issue. If I am entangled, I cannot help someone else get free. If my church carries institutional compromise, it cannot be the safe place a hurting, newly awakened person needs. Purity in this season is preparation, not just obedience.

How does the acceleration of evil in end times drive the spiritual harvest?

The Lord made something very clear in this word that I want to make sure does not get overlooked: He said the evil and tyranny rearing its head in recent years is awakening people to the true spiritual war at hand. And He said this reveal will accelerate greatly. In other words, the darkness is not a sign that the harvest is failing — it is a sign that the harvest is building. People being shaken out of comfortable assumptions by what they are witnessing in the world are searching for something real. If the Church is ready, they will find it. If it is not, they will be scattered again.

What does church reform for revival in 2026 actually look like on the ground?

Based on what the Lord said on July 8, reform is not primarily theological — it is structural and relational. It means honestly asking: if God sent us two hundred new, hurting people next month, could we actually disciple them? Do we have the infrastructure, the leaders, the small groups, the follow-through systems, the pastoral capacity? Most churches, if honest, would say no. Reform means building those things now, before the harvest, rather than scrambling after it arrives. The Lord said the current corrupt structure of many churches and ministries needs to be reformed — that is a frank assessment, and I believe He means it.

What is God calling you to personally in this word — the what if question?

The Lord asked every one of us to think about what if. Not as wishful thinking — as active preparation. What if God gives me favor in areas I have not seen yet? What if He expands my ministry in ways I have told myself were unlikely? What if He sends me people who are hurting, broken, and searching? He closed by removing the uncertainty: It’s time to prepare for the what if since the what if is going to happen. I take that personally. I hope you will too. The question is not whether it is going to happen — the question is whether you will be ready when it does.

How does the Lord’s word on July 8 connect to the broader prophetic word for the Church in 2026?

I have heard the Lord speak about the harvest multiple times in recent months, and this word is among the most specific and urgent. The theme of 2026 — as I have been hearing it — is the acceleration of both darkness and light simultaneously, with the critical hinge being the Church’s readiness to receive and root what God is releasing. This July 8 word adds specificity to that: reform your structure, renew your mind, make disciples not just converts, and stop thinking small. The prophetic word for the Church in 2026 is not comfort — it is preparation.

What is Rick’s Alone Time with God at Blessed2Teach?
Rick’s Alone Time with God is a regular devotional and prophetic practice in which Rick Rene of Blessed2Teach and FaithNFreedom withdraws for focused prayer and listening before the Lord, then shares the words and impressions he receives — unedited and verbatim — with the community at faithnfreedom.social and blessed2teach.com. These sessions are a core part of Rick’s ministry and have produced some of the most significant prophetic words he has shared publicly. Each word is presented exactly as received, without editorial alteration, so that readers can weigh it prayerfully against Scripture.
What does the Lord’s July 8, 2026 prophetic word say about the great harvest of souls coming to the Church?
In His July 8, 2026 word to Rick Rene, the Lord stated that He is already moving on the hearts of people who do not know Him and that He needs His body to stand up and get ready for the harvest. He described this as an imminent wave of people being awakened by the exposure of evil and tyranny in the world — a spiritual harvest that will arrive at the Church’s door whether the Church is ready or not. He called believers and leaders to prepare their infrastructure, expand their capacity, and begin thinking expectantly about the people He is about to send.
How does the renewed mind Scripture in Romans 12:2 connect to hearing from God in this harvest season?
The Lord specifically linked a renewed mind — the transformation Paul describes in Romans 12:2 — to the ability to hear His voice clearly and perceive the path He has prepared. Without minds renewed in Scripture and attentive to the Holy Spirit, His people default to human logic and become confused about the direction He is giving. In a harvest season where He is promising to give specific, actionable directions to those who come to Him and ask, a renewed mind is not optional background spiritual health — it is the primary operating condition for receiving and obeying what He is saying.
What are the signs of the end times and how do they relate to the spiritual harvest in this prophetic word?
The Lord does not use the phrase signs of the end times in this word, but He describes the same phenomenon: the accelerating exposure of evil, tyranny, and darkness as a mechanism of awakening that is driving people toward Him. He states that this acceleration will intensify greatly in the coming months. Rather than framing these developments as warnings to retreat, He frames them as harvest indicators — evidence that more and more people are having their comfortable assumptions shaken loose and are searching for truth. The Church’s assignment is to be ready when those seekers arrive.
Why does the Lord emphasize making disciples of all nations rather than simply winning converts?
The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19 is explicitly about making disciples — an ongoing, relational, formational process — not merely securing a conversion decision. In the July 8, 2026 word, the Lord pushes back sharply on the version of church practice that treats baptism and celebration as the end of the process. He says plainly that He did not ask His Church to baptize, rejoice, and move on. In the context of a coming harvest of large numbers of new, hurting, spiritually raw people, a church that only produces converts without building disciples is producing people who have no roots and will not endure.
What does it mean for the Church to be a disciple-making church according to this July 2026 prophetic word?
According to the Lord’s July 8 word, a disciple-making church is one that has intentionally built the relational and structural capacity to walk new believers through genuine, sustained growth. This means small groups, pastoral relationships, teaching pathways, accountability structures — the kinds of things that take time and intentionality to build. The Lord’s call to reform the current structure of many churches is a call to build these things now, before the harvest, so that when the people arrive there is a real infrastructure to receive them rather than a scramble to create one on the fly.
What does the Lord say about church revival and reformation in 2026 in this prophetic word?
The Lord frames revival and reformation as inseparable in this word. He identifies the current structure of many churches and ministries as corrupt — not theologically corrupt in every case, but structurally ill-prepared for the expansion He intends. He calls leaders to come to Him for specific directions on how to reform their particular context in preparation for the wave of people He is sending. Revival without structural reformation produces shallow-rooted believers; genuine, lasting revival requires a Church that has done the unglamorous work of building its discipleship capacity before the crowds arrive.
How should believers approach spiritual warfare prayer in the end times based on this word?
This July 8 word does not prescribe a specific warfare prayer formula, but the posture it models is instructive: submit your mind, eyes, and ears to the Holy Spirit before engaging anything else; ask the Lord for specific, personal directions rather than relying on human strategy; and approach this season from an offensive position of expansion rather than a defensive position of survivalism. Rick models this in his opening prayer — the act of consciously submitting perception and understanding to the Holy Spirit before seeking to hear is itself a form of spiritual warfare that guards against counterfeit direction.
What does running the race with perseverance mean in the context of preparing for the what if?
The Lord’s reference to running a race marked out specifically for you — echoing Hebrews 12:1 — carries a key word: perseverance. He does not promise that the preparation will be easy or that the harvest will come without cost. He promises that the race is marked out, that He goes before, and that the road — however hard it appears — leads to a life to the full as described in John 10:10. Running with perseverance means continuing to prepare even when there is no visible confirmation yet, because the what if is going to happen whether or not circumstances currently appear to support it.
How does hearing from God prophetically connect to the specific call to prepare in this word?
The Lord’s instruction in this word is not generic — He specifically calls His people to come to Him and ask what He is preparing for them individually, because each person has a specific path. This is the core of prophetic hearing in a preparation season: it is not about receiving confirmation of what you already planned, but about receiving the Lord’s specific assignment for your unique role in the harvest. Hearing from God prophetically is the mechanism by which preparation becomes targeted and effective rather than scattered and self-directed.
What does it mean when the Lord says the what if is going to happen?
When the Lord closed the July 8, 2026 word with the statement that the what if is going to happen, He was removing the conditional uncertainty from the equation entirely. The three what-ifs He names — favor, expansion of tents, and being sent hurting people — are not remote possibilities He is inviting His people to hope for. They are declared outcomes that He is calling His people to prepare for. The shift from what if to when changes everything about how preparation should be approached: it is no longer aspirational readiness but active, urgent construction of the capacity to receive what is already on its way.
