Interview open — why Derek, spiritual war, losing his dad

• Rick frames the hour: data centers, military tribunals, election updates, 2028, Gitmo, executive orders, national emergencies.
• Asks Derek to start as a believer: last few months and how God fits.
• Derek’s dad died in May. Dad was 41 when Derek was born; later-in-life dad, Bear Bryant–type voice, civil engineer in the Air Force, then in the first Air Force special operations command JFK set up. Derek says about a 180 IQ.
• Southern gospel home. Great-grandfather an Assembly of God preacher; great-uncles Nazarene, Primitive Baptist, Methodist — four preacher brothers who argued Scripture at reunions.
• Derek: in the South, God-talk is so common people never get a real relationship. His parents were spiritual and about Jesus.
• Raised on yes-sir manners, stay out of the wrong crowd, listen before you touch the hot stove.
• Family tree he is tracing: about three “swamp fox” special-ops lines from South Carolina, two queens (he does not claim the crown), an early Maryland governor/proprietary, a Declaration signer on his mother’s side.
• Teaching he is using now: you cannot lean on a shovel and pray for a hole. Prayer and action go together. “God wins” is not an excuse to sit.
• Bible said you will be hated; act like a duck — water rolls off.
• Cowboy line from Tuff Hedeman (he warns the man curses): get on the bull; falling is part of the ride. Trials are how you get faith and wisdom.
• Trolls without receipts are not a reflection of him.

Elections, 2026, 2020, “the operation”

• Rick asks for scenarios on 2026 midterms and 2020 machine/voter fraud coming out. Derek does not like “predictions.”
• He says the whole thing is already in operation. People who do not know that need to be taught; keep the receipts handy.
• He uses “brackets” as a visual that an operation is running.
• (Middle of the tape is cut in the file here. Do not invent extra court-case names that were not in the remaining text.)

Venezuela, Maduro, oil, disclosure

• Venezuela is another operation in the same pattern: what the public sees is disclosure, not the first move.
• He says Maduro and related events did not “begin” on the day the news showed them. Leadership waited until they were ready to tell people.
• Trump line he cites: Maduro is about to go to trial, and his wife.
• Not “taking over a nation” as the point. He frames oil as trade that he says helps the U.S., Venezuela, and ordinary Venezuelans.
• Ties it to elections and “kingpins” running that nation.
• Argument to skeptics: if Trump were the dictator they claim, why did “Joe” continue the same tracks? He says people are not looking far enough back.

Data centers, water, golf courses, AI

• Rick asks about golf courses vs data centers, aquifers drying, and “Watch the Water” / Rothschild water-control talk. Asks Derek to tell people they do not have to panic.
• Derek’s rule: if you hate data centers, say why, not a Google talking point.
• Parallel: your phone is a data box (texts, Facebook, Telegram, Instagram). Your data plan is data. Charging it is power tied to the same system. Laptops and streaming TVs too.
• If you want 1940s living, say that honestly. He does not want to give up central air in the South.
• Dad grew up with windows, fans, fireplaces, heated bricks, quilts, party-line phones. Hank Williams Sr. was a buddy of Derek’s grandpa in the 1940s.
• Figures he gives (his numbers, not independently checked here):
  • All data centers about 4.4% of electricity; residential about 37%.
  • In 17 days, golf courses used about 341,000% more water than data centers in the same window (his comparison).
  • Nobody is protesting golf courses over water.
  • China: about 300–500 data centers (guess range), 730% fewer than the U.S., but he says China uses 4.15 trillion gallons of water a year — more water with fewer centers.
• Hypocrisy test: water/power complaint without the golf-course and home-use parallel.
• Honest argument he would respect: “I am older, I hate the internet and phones, I want to go back.” He says infrastructure will not go back.
• AI: he likes it (even if it takes many prompts). Treat it like any private-sector tool that blows up (drones, Shark Tank). If the U.S. does not stay ahead, the enemy will.
• “Greatest military in the world” plus God is why he tells people to stop living in fear. Bible and founders warned against useless worry.
• Rick (IBM / Accenture): Christians should win on new tech, not hide from it.

Prayer close

• Derek asks prayer for his mom and family grieving his dad; first year is hard. Sleep schedule is off. Still “doing operations,” load is heavy.
• Gus prays: comfort, covering, larger voice, protection because Derek is well known, bless Kathy who books him.
• Rick agrees; Acts 3:19–20 “times of refreshing”; sleep and strength for the next day.
• Rick wants him back in about a month. They did not get to Phil Godlewski; save it.
