A Word From the Lord — Draw Near and Put On His Armor

A new Word from the Lord speaks directly to believers who feel discouraged or unsure how to respond to the spiritual battles around them. The message is clear: lay down pity and fear, get close enough to hear God’s voice over every other voice, and put on the armor He provides so the enemy’s weapons become useless.

Get Close Enough to Hear His Voice

The Lord invites His people to bring every request to Him — not just for outcomes, but for direction itself. He describes this as being “yoked” to Him: staying so close that His voice rises constantly above every voice the enemy sends to deceive.

Put On the Armor He Provides

The Word describes the enemy as a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy — but says his weapons become useless against believers who draw close to God and put on His armor. From that place, believers move forward with courage and boldness, fighting from peace rather than fear.

Test the Spirits Before You Act

Rather than reacting impulsively, the Word calls believers to be still, listen first, and record what God is saying. Testing the spirits means confirming that direction truly comes from Him — and once it’s confirmed, to obey, fight, and enjoy being used by Him.

What the Bible Teaches About Spiritual Warfare

What does it mean to be “yoked” to God for direction?

Being yoked means staying in such close, constant communication with God that His voice becomes clearer than any other voice — including the enemy’s. It’s the difference between hearing from God occasionally and walking with Him moment by moment.

How does God’s armor make the enemy’s weapons useless?

According to this Word, when believers draw close to God and put on the armor He provides, the enemy’s attacks lose their power against them — and those same believers gain the ability to tear down spiritual strongholds around them.

What does “testing the spirits” look like in practice?

It looks like pausing before acting — being still, listening for God’s voice, writing down what He says, and confirming it before stepping out. Once confirmed, the Word says to obey, fight, and enjoy the process of being used by God.

Why does God say He will restore those who repent?

The Word reminds believers that judgment and vengeance belong to God alone, and that He is actively restoring many in the church who turn back to Him. Believers are called to be careful about judging others and instead to focus on encouragement and on the battles God has assigned them personally.
