• Supreme Court rules 6-3 against race-based redistricting in the Louisiana case.
• A federal court had ordered a second black-majority district under Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act.
• Non-black voters sued, saying it created unconstitutional racial segregation.
• Justice Samuel Alito wrote the majority opinion; Kagan, Sotomayor, and Jackson dissented.
• Rick B2T states both parties have gerrymandered, but liberal areas do it more; districts should be based on geography and common sense, not race.
• This could shift up to 12 seats toward Republicans in the South, though Rick B2T doubts rhinos will act fast and says cleaning voting machines is more important.

• He reserved a hotel room weeks ahead, traveled by train from California, and bought the guns legally in prior years.
