Day 6: Cultivating Clarity – Journaling, Quiet Space, and Discernment

Welcome to Day 6 of your journey to hear God clearly every day. The foundation is laid; now we sharpen the blade. Today we turn whispers into written words you can stand on, create space where His voice is the only sound, and build a filter so strong that nothing counterfeit gets through. Everything we teach today comes straight from the prophets and teachers who have sat in our B2T interviews and Backstage meetings—Timothy Dixon, Manny Johnson, Marty Grisham, Stacy Whited, Amanda Grace, Meri Crouley, Nathan French, and others. You will hear their real stories, their exact words, and the miracles that followed simple obedience.

We will cover this in 3 sections:

1. The Discipline of Immediate Recording
2. Carving Out Undistracted Stillness
3. Testing Every Prompting Against Truth

Teaching Section 1: The Discipline of Immediate Recording

Timothy Dixon woke up at 3 a.m. with a dream so heavy he was shaking. He saw a national crisis coming—division, chaos, and a specific attack on the food supply. Most people would roll over and go back to sleep. Timothy reached for the pen he keeps on his nightstand and wrote every detail while it was burning fresh. Weeks later he released the dream. People prayed. Then the reports started pouring in: cancer remitted, bodies healed, entire churches experiencing revival fire. Timothy said in our interview:

“The devil will steal it before breakfast if you don’t write it down the second you wake up. I don’t care if it’s 2:30 in the morning and your eyes are crossed—grab the pen. That dream is ammunition. Write it, pray it, and watch God move.”

Stacy Whited journals with worship music playing low. She said 11:11 on the clock is God’s tap on her shoulder: “Stop everything. Listen.” In Mexico as a missionary she began journaling every nudge. One day the nudge said, “Take the kids and leave the village today.” She obeyed. That night the village was hit by a mudslide. Everyone she would have been with died. The ones who listened to her warning lived.

Marty Grisham keeps a notebook by the bed and one in the truck. He once wrote a single sentence for a marriage that was over: “Tell him I still see the boy I called.” The man wept, repented, came home. Marriage restored in 48 hours.

Rick’s journal, August 5, 2025: “Write this down: I am expanding B2T faster than you think possible. Do not fear the growth. I will fund every step.” That word carried us through in faith as we continue to pursue expanding the ministry into FaithNFreedomTV.

Supporting Scripture (ESV)

Habakkuk 2:2-3: And the LORD answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.”

Revelation 1:19: “Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this.”

Psalm 77:11-12: I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.

Exodus 17:14: Then the LORD said to Moses, “Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of Joshua…”

Summary: 

Your pen is a weapon of war in the Spirit—the moment you think “That might be God,” heaven holds its breath waiting for you to write it down. Date it, time it, scribble it raw and ridiculous, because every word you dare to record becomes legal evidence in the courts of heaven. What Timothy Dixon wrote at 3 a.m. brought healing to bodies; what Stacy Whited wrote saved children from a mudslide; what Manny wrote snatched a sister from suicide. Your notebook is the place where trembling possibility becomes unbreakable history. Write the whisper, and watch the God who cannot lie rise to confirm it with signs, wonders, and miracles. Heaven is waiting—pen ready—for the next line you’re brave enough to believe.

Teaching Section 2: Carving Out Undistracted Stillness

Manny Johnson took seven days off work, turned off every screen, and locked himself in his apartment with only water and the Bible. On day four he went out through the roof in the spirit, saw future events, met Jesus face to face, and came back a different man.

Nathan French books hotel rooms or drives to the woods, turns the phone on airplane mode, and just waits. One time in a hotel room the presence hit so strong he couldn’t stand up. God gave him the name of a paralyzed man in a wheelchair at the next crusade. Nathan called him out. The man walked. Ten thousand people saw it.

Marty Grisham gets up while it’s still dark, sits in his chair, and refuses to speak until he hears. One morning the Holy Spirit said, “Go to the hospital now.” He drove straight there, walked into a room he’d never been told about, laid hands on a woman with stage-4 cancer, and she was healed that hour—doctors verified it.

My own journal, July 23, 2025, written after dedicating to no phone, no food, no noise: “Make room for Me. The noise of ministry is drowning My voice. Seek My face by becoming hungry again.” That word made me realize that working on tasks, no matter how noble, does not equal spending time with him.

Supporting Scripture (ESV)

Psalm 46:10: “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Matthew 6:6: “But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.”

Isaiah 30:15: For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.”

Mark 1:35: And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.

Habakkuk 2:20: The LORD is in his holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before him.

Summary: 

Ten minutes of real quiet—phone off, door closed, world silenced—is worth ten hours of shouting prayers in a storm of noise, because stillness is the frequency where God broadcasts clearest. In that sacred vacuum, Manny Johnson shot through the roof and met Jesus; Nathan French heard the exact name of a paralyzed man who would walk; Marty Grisham got an address he’d never been given and cancer vanished that hour. When you dare to shut everything else out, the Holy Spirit rushes into the empty space like air into a diver’s lungs after being underwater too long. Distractions are the enemy’s static; quiet is heaven’s open microphone. Shut the world out for ten undistracted minutes and His voice will fill the silence every single time—gentle, certain, life-changing, and unmistakably Him.

Teaching Section 3: Testing Every Prompting Against Truth

Amanda Grace grew up seeing visions but suppressed the gift because of trauma and religious fear. When she finally surrendered, the Lord began speaking—powerful, specific words that exposed corruption and shifted laws. But every single word goes through the same filter.

“I read the Bible every day like my life depends on it—because it does. I pray in the Spirit until peace comes. Then I test everything. If it doesn’t line up with Scripture, I throw it out. Period. Emotions lie. Wounds lie. The Word never does.”

Meri Crouley writes every prophecy down, then immediately opens the Bible and asks, “Lord, where is this in Your Word?” One time she received a strong word for a woman at a conference: “The Lord says the baby you lost—He is holding him, and He is naming him ‘Restored.’” The woman collapsed sobbing—she had miscarried the week before and told no one. The word lined up perfectly with Jeremiah 1:5 and Psalm 139. Instant healing.

Timothy Dixon, Manny Johnson, Amanda Grace, and Meri Crouley all say the same thing: If the word produces fear, condemnation, division, or pride—it’s not God. If it produces humility, peace, courage, and love—it usually is.

My journal, July 15, 2025: “Test the spirits. Many voices are speaking in this hour. Move forward quickly when it’s Me. Delay when it’s not.” That single tested line has saved us from several traps.

Supporting Scripture (ESV)

1 John 4:1: Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

2 Timothy 3:16-17: All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

1 Thessalonians 5:21-22: Prove everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.

1 Corinthians 2:14: The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

Isaiah 8:20: “To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.”

Summary: The Bible is your sword and your shield—the living, breathing Word that slices between soul and spirit, truth and counterfeit. Every impression, dream, nudge, or prophetic word must bow before its pages; what aligns ignites like a rhema rocket that shatters strongholds, while anything that contradicts it is discarded the instant it fails the test. Amanda Grace stood against corruption because every word passed the fire of Scripture; Meri Crouley brought instant healing because the promise she spoke was anchored in Jeremiah and Psalms. Truth tested today becomes the unshakable authority you walk in tomorrow, the very same authority that calms storms, exposes darkness, and releases heaven on earth. Hold nothing dearer than this filter, because the purity of what you keep determines the power of what you release. Guard the Word, and the Word will guard you—today, tomorrow, and into eternity.

Day 6 Conclusion: Preserve, Protect, and Sharpen His Voice

Write it the moment you hear it.

Get alone and turn everything off.

Test it by the Word and refuse anything less.

These three disciplines turn fuzzy impressions into razor-sharp direction that breaks chains, saves lives, and starts revivals. Timothy, Manny, Amanda, Marty, Stacy, Nathan, and Meri—they all live this way, and miracles follow them like shadows.

Pick up your pen.

Close the door.

Open the Book.

Clarity is not coming—it’s already here for whoever will do these three things.

Father, give me the discipline to write every whisper, the courage to shut out every distraction, and the love for Your Word that refuses anything false. I choose clarity over confusion, sharp accuracy over vague hoping, and Your truth over every lying voice. Let Your voice be the loudest in my life from this day forward. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
