Amanda Grace’s Perspective on Candace Owens and Charlie Kirk

Amanda Grace shared her view on the controversy between Candace Owens and Charlie Kirk. She described Candace as a researcher who asks questions and makes valid points.

Amanda stated that Candace operates in rebellion rather than submission to God. Amanda expressed concern about Candace reposting content about voodoo, which is demonic and opposes Jesus Christ.

Amanda compared Candace’s actions to King Saul consulting the Witch of Endor after losing Samuel. She indicated that Candace follows a similar dangerous path after losing Charlie.

Amanda urged viewers to pray for Candace rather than criticize her. Rick confirmed Amanda’s points.

He noted that Candace called Protestants “dumb” after her 2024 conversion to Catholicism. Candace told Charlie he was “too smart to be a Protestant” despite Charlie being a biblical Christian who spoke directly to Jesus and honored the Sabbath.

Rick expressed concern about Candace claiming to communicate with Charlie through dreams after his death. He shared concern about her content on voodoo.

Rick led a prayer for Candace, recognizing her positive contributions to the movement while addressing her current path.

Viewers should pray for Candace Owens, even though they disagree with her recent statements.

Trump’s Middle East Peace Efforts and Hostage Release

Rick celebrated the release of 20 living hostages and 4 deceased hostages’ bodies from Gaza. He showed emotional reunion videos.

Trump is nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his peace initiatives. Rick showed clips of Trump’s speech to the Knesset.

In the speech, Trump thanked “the almighty God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” Trump celebrated the return of hostages.

Day 7: God’s Word Proves True

By Rick Rene of Blessed2Teach Ministries (https://blessed2teach.com)

Prayer Guide Day #7

God’s word is true and He is my refuge. I trust his word and will not add to it.

Proverbs 30:5-6:  Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.  Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar.

Lord, I trust your words and will not add to them because your words prove true.  You are my refuge, my fortress, my shield.  In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Context

The context of this proverb about the “word of God proves true” and “do not to add to his words” encompasses Proverbs 30:1-9.  These verses authored by Agur can be summarized in four sections:

  1. Humility and Human Limitations
  2. God’s Greatness and Rhetorical Questions
  3. Reliability of God’s Word
  4. Prayer for Integrity and Contentment

This proverbs author is Agur son of Jakeh, and his words are termed “an oracle” or a divinely inspired message.  He starts with his own thoughts (which is how we can learn to hear from God as well).

Humility and Human Limitations: Agur begins by expressing his weariness and admitting his limitations, showing a humble heart before God.

  • Weariness and Exhaustion: Agur feels worn out and weary, possibly from life’s struggles or seeking understanding.
  • Lack of Wisdom: He confesses he feels “too stupid” and lacks the understanding and wisdom of a mature person.
  • Ignorance of God: Agur admits he has not gained deep knowledge of the Holy One, highlighting his spiritual humility.
    Proverbs 9 also emphasizes the importance of knowing the Holy One:

Proverbs 9:10: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.

This section sets the tone by showing that true wisdom starts with recognizing our own limitations., Humbly admitting your limitations opens the door to relying on God’s strength and wisdom, ensuring your efforts align with His truth rather than human pride.

God’s Greatness and Rhetorical Questions: Agur uses powerful questions to point to God’s unmatched greatness and authority.

  • Divine Power: He asks who has gone to heaven, controlled the wind, wrapped the waters, or set the earth’s boundaries, implying only God can do these.

Isaiah asked many of these type of questions as well:

Isaiah 40:12: Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?

  • God’s Identity: The questions end with a challenge to name this great being and His son, pointing to God’s unique authority and possibly hinting at the Messiah.

These questions emphasize that God alone is all-powerful and all-knowing, far above human ability. We can feel powerless against systems or governments, but remembering God’s unmatched power, as Agur does, inspires confidence that no earthly authority surpasses Him.

Reliability of God’s Word:  Agur declares the absolute truth of God’s Word and warns against tampering with it.

  • God’s Word is True: Every word from God is reliable and trustworthy, offering protection to those who trust in Him.

The Psalms also talk about these words we can trust and his protection:

Psalm 18:30: This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.

  • Do Not Alter It: Adding to God’s words risks rebuke and being exposed as a liar, stressing the need to preserve Scripture’s purity, as the scribes have done.

This section highlights the unchanging reliability of God’s Word as a shield for believers. We must anchor our cause in the truth of Scripture, resisting the temptation to twist God’s Word to fit political agendas. Trusting its reliability provides a firm foundation for advocating justice and freedom.

Prayer for Integrity and Contentment: Agur prays for two things: to live truthfully and to have just enough to avoid temptation.

  • Desire for Truth: He asks God to keep falsehood and lies far from him, seeking a life of integrity.
  • Balanced Provision: Agur requests neither poverty nor riches, but only what he needs to avoid denying God or stealing.

This is very similar to Jesus teaching in the Gospels:

Matthew 6:11: Give us this day our daily bread

  • Protecting God’s Name: He fears that wealth might lead to pride or poverty to sin, both dishonoring God.

This prayer shows Agur’s desire to honor God through a life of honesty and contentment. We should pray for integrity and contentment as well, avoiding greed or desperation that could compromise our witness. Staying honest and trusting God’s provision keeps our focus on true justice, not personal gain.   These scriptures provide a framework to rely on God’s power, anchor advocacy in His Word, and pursue justice with integrity, ensuring our efforts reflect His truth and glory.

Proverbs 30:1-9:

Read the full context of God’s word here:

Devotional

We don’t have any more context on who Agur son of Jakeh is, but we can see the power of the word in Proverbs 30 that shows his words are an oracle, or a divinely inspired message, as he claims.

  • The words of Agur son of Jakeh. The oracle.

Argur starts out with massive humility:

  • The man declares, I am weary, O God;
  • I am weary, O God, and worn out.
  • Surely I am too stupid to be a man.
  • I have not the understanding of a man.
  • I have not learned wisdom,
  • nor have I knowledge of the Holy One.

He then moves to rhetorical questions recognizing the power of God:

  • Who has ascended to heaven and come down?

Although this is referencing the Almighty God, in the Book of John, Jesus shows he is God in flesh as the Son of Man who has ascended and descended:

John 3:13: No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.

  • Who has gathered the wind in his fists?
  • Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment?
  • Who has established all the ends of the earth?
  • What is his name, and what is his son’s name?
  • Surely you know!

Argu knows that anyone reading this word would know he is talking about the one true God. This may also be hinting at the name above all names, Jesus:

Revelation 19:16: On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

And this God has given us His word that is truth and He is our shield:

  • Every word of God proves true;
  • he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Many other verses talk about God being our shield, including:

Psalm 3:3: But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.

  • Do not add to his words,
  • lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar.

This is discussed in Deuteronomy 4:2 as well:

Deuteronomy 4:2: You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you.

  • Two things I ask of you;
  • deny them not to me before I die:
  • Remove far from me falsehood and lying;
  • give me neither poverty nor riches;
  • feed me with the food that is needful for me,
  • lest I be full and deny you
  • and say, “Who is the Lord?

Being wealthy can lead to an attitude of not needing the Lord like the Pharaoh in Exodus:

Exodus 5:2: But Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice and let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, and moreover, I will not let Israel go.”

  • or lest I be poor and steal
  • and profane the name of my God.

Being content with our daily bread and not being too rich or poor can help remain steadfast in the Lord.

These Proverbs teach us how to be humble, know his name and take refuge in Him and his word.  His word is true and can be trusted and it has been preserved for us just as he said it would!  God’s word proves true time and time again.

Lord, I declare my absolute trust in your word and in you as my refuge and fortress, the God in whom I trust. You preserved your word for me to learn and use as a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. And I trust in my savior Jesus, who is the word made flesh.  And I have seen his glory, glory as of the only son from the father full of grace and truth!   In the name of Jesus. Amen.
