Where I Started — Asleep, Then Awakened
Most people who find me now are surprised to learn I spent most of my career as a high-tech executive — working at companies like Accenture and IBM — completely asleep to what was happening in the world. I was a bold Christian in those environments, but I had no idea about globalist agendas or what the media was actually doing. That changed in 2015. My son, who was 17 at the time, started sending me videos. I started researching. And once you start seeing it, you cannot stop.
Two things accelerated my awakening specifically. Watching the mainstream media handle Sandy Hook the way they did struck me as profoundly wrong. Then I found Lance Wallnau’s writing on what he called the “chaos candidate” — his case that Donald Trump was being used by God as an instrument of disruption against an entrenched system — and the prophetic words of Kim Clement about Trump. Studying those, alongside the wall-to-wall, 96-percent-negative media coverage of Trump, made the Mockingbird media system completely visible to me.
I started making Facebook videos about what I was seeing. I lost half my friends immediately. My wife told me to stop using Facebook. I moved to YouTube. My first video got 12 views — I filmed it on an iPad with paper notes. A later video on military tribunals reached 325,000 views. The Blessed2Teach channel grew to 109,000 subscribers. And then YouTube deleted it. Zero strikes. Right before 2020.
What They Did to Us — and What God Did With It
The censorship was not only about silence. It was designed to bankrupt us. They shut down all three of my PayPal accounts — ministry, business, and personal. They eliminated my Patreon account. Nine separate bank accounts — mine and my wife’s business accounts — were attacked. I had to change every bank we used. My podcast distribution platform was shut down. Facebook, Instagram, and six YouTube channels were all hit in waves. I ran six YouTube channels simultaneously and rotated them to stay ahead of strikes, but they were all non-monetized because I talked about election integrity, Epstein, and the Clinton Foundation.
YouTube eventually restored four of those channels — exactly five years to the day they were removed, which I thought was an interesting choice — but they are now fully shadow-banned. I have 102,000 followers on a channel that used to get 10,000 to 20,000 views per episode. It now gets almost nothing organically. I still cannot use PayPal, Patreon, or my original banks.
But here is what I have come to understand: every attack was preparation. I saw a parallel pattern in my business life back in 2008 — easy growth followed by sudden, total tightening that forced me to close a company and return to consulting. God was teaching me how to handle this kind of pressure years before it became existential to the ministry. Out of all of it, FaithNFreedomTV was born.

Barb Honors Her Dad — Grief, Faith, and the Pruning Process
The second half of the show became something different and something I am grateful we made space for. Barb had lost her father this week. She had also lost power that morning. She joined us anyway.
She shared family photos live on the show — wedding-day pictures, her dad putting bunny ears on her, real-estate days, his dog tags and naval memorabilia, three-generation photos, and the last photo she took with him. She cried while sending those photos to Ellen before the show started. That is the kind of real that matters.
Barb said she is grateful her dad is no longer in pain, while carrying the full weight of missing him — especially the smart comments and the questions he had started asking about what is really happening in the world. Some family members who call themselves Christians responded to her loss with cruelty, including mocking her for using LifeWave patches and holistic approaches instead of immediately running to conventional medicine. Her husband Paul, God bless him, responded by blasting Dre Day Ministries’ “Step Out on the Water” through outdoor speakers at full volume in a neighborhood music war — and apparently won.
Barb described this whole season as part of the pruning process God uses. Uncomfortable. Necessary. Designed to make room for more fruit. She is walking away from the relationships that are doing harm to her soul, not out of bitterness, but because that pruning is what God is asking of her right now.
The Seed in Dark Soil — God Works in the Hidden Place
Ellen played a short teaching video that I thought landed exactly where Barb and the rest of us needed it to land. The image is simple: a seed buried in dark soil looks like burial — but it is actually planting. The key points from that teaching:
- God does not bury you — He plants you.
- He takes you deeper before He takes you higher. Joseph’s story is the pattern.
- He refines in private before He reveals in public.
- Before Jesus multiplied the bread, He broke it.
- God works just as powerfully in the dark as in the light — creation, the womb, the tomb, the pit, the lions’ den — every major biblical breakthrough happened in a hidden place first.
- “You do not understand what I am doing now, but someday you will.”
- One day you will look back and thank God for the dark season.
Barb said that teaching hit her hard because she has felt numb and low. Getting back into her Bible is what brings the light back. That is the simplest and most honest thing I heard all show.
A Lightning Strike on Their Anniversary — Faith Does Not Need an Audience
Barb and her husband Paul closed the episode with a story about a coastal storm on the anniversary of their baptism. They half-jokingly asked God for a lightning strike as a sign of His presence. Paul prayed: “If it is Your will.” A lightning bolt struck immediately, directly in front of them. The sky lit up. The sea was wild. They did not film it. They simply stood in it with God.
The point the hosts made after that story is one I carry with me: faith and testimony do not require proof offered to people who have already decided not to believe. Truth is true whether others acknowledge it or not. And the best is still ahead — for Barb, for the ministry, for every believer walking through something dark right now.

How can I use faith to cope with grief when family members are being hurtful?
Barb’s situation on this episode resonated with a lot of people for exactly this reason. She lost her father and found that some family members who call themselves Christians responded with cruelty rather than care. Her answer is what I think Scripture points to as well: the pruning process. Walking away from relationships that do harm to your soul is not weakness or bitterness — it is participating in what God is doing to make room for more fruit. And returning to the Bible, she said, is the specific thing that brings the light back when grief leaves you numb.
