This is a song to designed to teach children of all ages the order of creation.
However, I have found it to be the best way for a 45 year old man to remember what was created on each of the 6 days of creation.
The song is slightly altered from the traditional on day 5 & 6 to help me remember.
Day 1 Day 1 God made light when there was none
Day 2 Day 2 God made heaven & skies of blue
Day 3 Day 3 God made flowers & grass & trees.
Day 4 Day 4 God made the sun, moon & stars galore.
Day 5 Day 5 God made fish & birds that fly
Day 6 Day 6 God made animals, man & chicks
Day 7 Day 7 God just rested up in heaven
Below is the traditional version. Above I changed some words around slightly. Most significantly, I found it confusing changing “Day X” to “6th Day” only on this day, and I didn’t like how the rhyming words were the same, both using “day.” So, I changed it above to rhyme with 6, but had to add “chicks” for women only for rhyming purposes (no offense intended!).
